On September 22nd 2013, the satin white flag with Red bold painted letters of AK Foundation flew up in the blue sky. It was inaugurated by Dr. M.P. Kaliaperumal , Senior Consultant Professor – Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development , Sriperumbudur. Very proud to say that he had a close association with out former late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C.N. Anna Durai. All the events were monitored by Shri Perumal Ramasamy – Indian Athletic Coach and the Valedictory function’s Chief Guest was Smt Kamatchi Jayakrishnan – Joint Managing Director of JK Group of Companies. 26 Districts participated. Total of 96 children were enrolled. To and fro transportation charges were given and all of them were served breakfast , lunch and packed supper. All the children were given grand and colorful Participation Certificate and Mementos as a take home gift. The children who won the events were given cups embossed with AK Foundation 945/2010. On the whole, it was a good start for the activities carried out by the members of AK Foundation. Children who participated were exclusively from Government Schools alone. And few districts children were amazed to travel in buses as they never had an opportunity to travel. All the children visited Chennai for the first time. A special thanks to all the Sponsors who made the entire show a great success. Our Patron who stood by us behind the screens always motivating us in the most positive way. But , because of him this AK Foundation would not have been created. It was our Patron’s dream to bring in the rural children from all the district of Thamizh Nadu and trace out their talent and mould them accordingly . Yes , the children who faired well had been refered to the concerned district – Sports Development Authority of Thamizh Nadu. Long live AK Foundation!!! “We bridge the Gap” to the rural children who ace in Athletics, so that they will participate in 2016 Olympics.

All India Tennis Tournament

All India Tennis Tournament was conducted on 27 , 28 & 29 th of December 2014. The tournament was held at Singaram Pillai Tennis court at Villivakkam. Their school correspondent Shri Kailash inaugurated the event and Shri Perumal Ramasamy Indian Legend for Athletics was the Chief Guest for the closing ceremony. 64 matches were played on the first day. 32 matches were played on the second day and on the third day 4 matches were supposed to be conducted, but due to heavy rains all of them were declared as winners. Prizes along with certificates were distributed. The Specialty of this event was orphan children from Arnold Children’s Home from Velachery were the spectators for all the three days. The game of Rich Tennis was played for the welfare of the poor. Two parents children were moved with those orphan children and one parent volunteered and gave few 500 Rupees to the orphan children as a token of gift and another parent gave Rupees Ten Thousand cheque as a token of gift. It was spontaneous act from the parents. The present generation has witnessed the entire event which will stand as an ever green memories in each one’s life is the concept of this Founder President – Dr . Rtn. Geetha. The entire event was sponsored by Shri. Dr. I. U.B. Reddy – Social Specialist- World Bank and Shri Peumal Ramasamy – Indian Legend for Athletics. In turn, as a mark of respect to Shri Peumal Ramasamy was felicitated along with his loyal and faithful students and more than 40 years friendship.

Ak Foundation sponsors 2 Winners and Runners Cup for the Tennis Tournaments  carried out by various clubs in and around Thamizh Nadu District.

Apart from this “ANNADHAANAM” is being provided to the needy.
